Certificates of Authorization
Recently, the Alabama Legislature passed a bill allowing the Alabama Board of
Architects to regulate practice of architecture by a firm entity. Any
corporation, professional corporation, professional association, partnership, or
limited liability company that wishes to practice architecture in Alabama must
comply with the provisions of ยง34-2-37 (found on electronic page 11 of the
Architects
Handbook) and regulations found in Chapter 100-X-8 (found on electronic page 47 of the
Architects Handbook). It is important to note that all firms must comply by
August 1, 2012, as specified by the statute.
